Exclusive Investigation: Paris Terror Attack, Clarissa Ward • 2015
As the Lead Video Editor, Producer, and Motion Graphics Artist at CNN, I played a pivotal role in shaping every narrative that came under my purview. Collaborating closely with correspondents and production assistants, I delved into each assignment, story, and character to curate a meticulous storytelling experience. From handpicking each shot to mastering sound and crafting bespoke motion graphics, I aimed to elevate every story, ensuring it resonated and was easily digestible for a wide audience.
My tenure at CNN was marked by the privilege of contributing to some of the most impactful and significant stories of our time. This included my award-winning work on Drew Griffin's investigation into the “Crisis at the VA,” our 2016 Election Night Open and our in-depth and exclusive coverage of the Bataclan Paris terror attacks. Yet, the spectrum of my experiences also extended to lighter and more uplifting moments, such as our engaging All the Best, All the Worst year-end reviews. I take immense pride in the diversity and depth of stories I had the opportunity to shape during my time at CNN.
